Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez is a TV arbitrator of Cuban descent in the shows Caso Cerrado and Ana Polo Rules. Ana was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She moved to Miami with her family at age 2 after moving from Havana. Born in Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo is the host of the prestigious Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado" which is the first Spanish language program nominated for a Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award. The show in 2015 ranked as the number one Spanish-language program in the 4pm hour across all key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. Following her graduation at Florida International University's political science program, she relocated to Havana where she stayed for the next 20 years. After that, she earned her PhD in law from the University of Miami. For 20 years, Polo worked in Miami. Following her PhD from the University of Miami in law and being a lawyer at the bar in Miami city for 20 years. Polo's legal knowledge was used in court shows as well as Telemundo Sala de Parejas 2001 in addition to the program Sala de Parejas. Literature Works and Awards Her novel from 1958 Los Hijos Muertos won her both the Critic Prize and Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute moved to the United States from Spain in 1960. Polo was a breast cancer survivor who often raises funds for this causes and gives speeches at parties. She has been an campaigner for LGBT rights all of her life. She is a 1987 graduate of law school at the University of Miami School of Law and a Florida Bar member.
